Day 1: Arrival in Phuentsholing and Transfer to Paro

Arrive in Phuentsholing and complete immigration formalities. Start your journey by driving to Paro, approximately 160 km (6 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. The journey offers beautiful landscapes and a glimpse of Bhutanese rural life.

Day 2: Paro Sightseeing

Begin your exploration of Paro by visiting Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery with stunning architecture and historical significance. Next, explore the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), which provides insights into Bhutanese history and culture. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most sacred temples, to experience the spiritual ambiance. Stroll through Paro town, visit local markets, and in the evening, head to Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress with a beautiful backdrop of Mt. Jomolhari.

Day 3: Paro - Tiger's Nest Hike and Transfer to Thimphu

Today, embark on a hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), perched on a cliffside and offering breathtaking views (4-5 hours round trip). After the hike, drive to Thimphu, approximately 55 km (1.5 hours). Check in to your hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing and Transfer to Punakha

Start your day by visiting the Buddha Dordenma Statue, which offers panoramic views of Thimphu valley. Explore the National Memorial Chorten, a significant religious landmark. Visit the Folk Heritage Museum to learn about traditional Bhutanese culture and the Motithang Takin Preserve to see Bhutan's national animal, the Takin. After sightseeing in Thimphu, drive to Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass with its 108 memorial chortens and stunning Himalayan views, approximately 75 km (2-3 hours). Check in to your hotel in Punakha and relax.

Day 5: Punakha Sightseeing and Transfer to Phobjikha

Visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress situated at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Then, hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, which is renowned for its unique blessings. Afterward, drive to the Phobjikha Valley, approximately 80 km (2-3 hours). Visit Gangtey Monastery, the main center of the Nyingma school of Buddhism in Bhutan. Check in to your hotel in Phobjikha and unwind.

Day 6: Phobjikha Exploration

Spend the day exploring the picturesque Phobjikha Valley. Take a leisurely nature hike along the Gangtey Nature Trail, offering beautiful views of the valley and a chance to see the Black-necked Cranes (seasonal). Visit the Black-necked Crane Information Centre to learn about these rare birds and their conservation. Experience local culture by interacting with the villagers. Additionally, visit Khewang Lhakhang, a 15th-century temple with unique architectural features.

Day 7: Phobjikha to Phuentsholing and Departure

Drive back to Phuentsholing, approximately 250 km (7-8 hours). Enjoy the scenic journey back, reflecting on your experiences in Bhutan. Once in Phuentsholing, complete any last-minute sightseeing or shopping before departing.
