Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata
Upon your arrival at Kolkata airport or railway station, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your centrally located hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. If you arrive early, consider exploring the vibrant Park Street area or the bustling New Market for a taste of Kolkata's local culture. Optional visits include the Marble Palace, a 19th-century mansion with extensive art collections, or the South Park Street Cemetery, one of the earliest non-church cemeteries in the world. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata.
Day 2: Transfer to Sundarbans
Early in the morning, depart from Kolkata to Gadkhali by private vehicle. From Gadkhali, board a boat for a scenic ride to Pakhiralay, Gosaba. Visit Jharkhali’s Sundarban Wild Animals Park and Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance by local artists showcasing traditional dances and music. Overnight stay at an eco-resort in Pakhiralay.
Day 3: Sundarban Jungle Safari
Spend the day on a boat safari through the dense mangrove forests of Sundarbans. Visit Dobanki Watchtower and Netidhopani Watchtower for a chance to spot Bengal tigers, saltwater crocodiles, and various bird species. Enjoy insights from a knowledgeable local guide. After the safari, visit a crocodile breeding center and a local honey collection center. Overnight stay at the eco-resort.
Day 4: Sundarbans to Kolkata
In the morning, explore local Sundarban villages to learn about the unique lifestyle and culture of the region. Visit the Hamilton Bungalow and the Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow. In the afternoon, transfer back to Kolkata. Visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple and spend a serene evening at Princep Ghat. If time permits, enjoy a boat ride on the Hooghly River for a picturesque view of the Howrah Bridge. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kolkata.
Day 5: Kolkata Sightseeing and Departure
Embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Kolkata, covering Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Additionally, visit the Mother House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity founded by Mother Teresa, and the Birla Planetarium. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport or railway station for your departure.
