Day 01: Amritsar Arrival
Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport /Railway station meet SetMyTrip's representative and transferred to the hotel in Amritsar. Afternoon visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drills, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at Amritsar Hotel.
Day 02: Amritsar City Tour & Katra Transfer (242km 5/6 hrs)
After Breakfast, start your city tour and visit Golden Temple also called Harmandir Sahib or Swarn Mandir, the most important Sikh shrine. Visit Jallianwala Bagh where hundreds of unarmed innocent Indians were killed by a senior British military officer, on 13 April 1919. Afternoon drive to Katra via Pathankot and Jammu reach Katra in the evening, check-in the hotel, overnight at Hotel in Katra.
Day 03: Katra – Vaishno Devi Shrine Trek – Katra
After Breakfast, Start trekking to the Holy shrine 13.5 KM for the Darshan for Mata Shri Vaishno Devi Jee, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is believed to grant all the four boons Dharm (Righteousness), Arth (Material Pursuits), Kaam (Contentment) and Moksh (Enlightenment)} to those who visit Her Holy Shrine. She is considered to fulfil anything and everything that a person wishes for in life, in a righteous way. It is an experience of all, that no one goes empty-handed from Her Great Pilgrimage. After the Darshan return back in the evening. Overnight at Hotel in Katra.
Day 04: Katra – Patnitop – Srinagar (280 Km) Travel time 8 hours
After breakfast check out from Katra hotel and drive to Srinagar en route to visit Patnitop. Patnitop – This is a hilltop tourist location in Udhampur district in Jammu & Kashmir state of India. Situated on a plateau in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop sits at an altitude of 2,024 meters (6,640 ft) above sea level. The river Chenab flows in close proximity to this location. Visit Naag Temple (Naag Mandir) – This temple is near Patnitop, standing amidst lush green surroundings, the temple is not only a significant religious point in Patnitop but also a spot which leaves its visitors fascinated by the sceneries around. Nathatop – 14 Km away from Patnitop and a wonderful place which is thickly covered by snow during the winter months. Nathatop is an excellent place for adventure sports such as ice skiing Paragliding etc. The place has also three scenic freshwater springs in its proximity which are known for their medicinal qualities. Nathatop offers amazing views of the western Himalayas. Evening arrives at Srinagar, check-in to the hotel and overnight stay at Srinagar hotel/houseboats.
Day 05: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (85 Km) 3 Hours journey
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Sonmarg and drive to Sonmarg. Sonmarg – This is a very popular tourist spot in Kashmir and is famous for its natural beauty, alpine flowers, evergreen pine trees and silver birch. Here enjoy the lovely view of nature which is simply mesmerizing and beyond words to describe. En-route visiting Kheer Bhawani – Is a temple dedicated to the Goddess Kheer Bhawani (originally just Bhawani) constructed over a sacred spring. The worship of Kheer Bhawani is universal among the Hindus of Kashmir. On arrival at Sonmarg, take a 3 hours trek to Thajiwas Glacier by walking or by horseback. Later drive back to Srinagar, dinner and overnight stay at Srinagar hotel/houseboats.
Day 06: Srinagar – Yusmarg – Srinagar (6 Hrs Return Journey)
The morning after breakfast leave for the famous Yusmarg - this idyllic meadow is ideal for a day's picnic or a short walk along with the mighty 'Doodh Ganga' river, its name deriving from its milk-white foam. Picnic on its banks or simply doze in the sun. A starting point for many peaks like 'Trata Kutti' and 'Sang – Safed and back to Srinagar. O/N Srinagar.
Day 07: Srinagar – Gulmarg (59 Km) Travel time 2/3 hours
After breakfast check out from Srinagar hotel/houseboats and drive to Gulmarg via Tangmarg town, a scenic drive of 14 Km towards Gulmarg. Afternoon arrives at Gulmarg, check in to the hotel. Gulmarg is a town and another beautiful hill station in Jammu & Kashmir. It is a popular skiing destination and a notified area committee in the Baramulla district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Gulmarg lies in a cup-shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, situated at an altitude of 2,650 meters (8,694 ft). Gulmarg is the "heartland of winter sports in India" and was rated as Asia's seventh best ski destination. After refresh, proceed for a short tour of the Gondola Cable Car ride (A short ropeway ride). Later enjoy some horse riding and evening free for independent activities or explore the local market of Gulmarg town and overnight stay at Gulmarg hotel.
Day 08: Gulmarg – Pahalgam (150 Km) Travel time 4/5 hours
After early breakfast check out from Gulmarg hotel and drive to Pahalgam via Pampore, Awantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. On arrival at Pahalgam, check in to the hotel. Pahalgam – This is a town and a notified area committee in the Anantnag district of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. It is a popular tourist destination and hill station. Pahalgam is located on the banks of the Lidder River at an altitude of 7,200 feet (2,200 meters) above sea level. Pahalgam is the headquarters of one of the five Tehsils of the Anantnag district. Pahalgam is associated with the annual Amarnath Yatra. After a refreshment visit Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari, later explore the local market of Pahalgam and overnight stay at Pahalgam hotel.
Day 09: Pahalgam – Kokernag (66 Km) 2 Hours Journey
After breakfast check out from Pahalgam Hotel and drive to Kokernag. Afternoon Reach Kokernag Hotel. Kokernag – Is at the height of approx. 2,000 Meters above sea level and located in the Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir. The place is known for its gardens, the largest freshwater springs in Kashmir and for its Largest Rainbow Trout Hatchery in North India. After refresh visit to Pashudhan Nad – Most important tourist attraction of a tour to Kokernag is the Papashudan Nad, the Magical and Curative Spring which draws thousands of tourists to the valley each year. Later free for independent activities and overnight stay at Kokernag hotel.
Day 10: Kokernag – Sinthan Top and Daksum – Kokernag (48 Km) 2/3 Hours Drive
After breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion and drive to Sinthan Top and Daksum Top. Sinthan Top – Is a hill station and a popular tourist destination located in South Kashmir’s Breng Valley (Sub-District Kokernag) in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The Sinthan pass connects Kashmir valley with Jammu Province through Kishtwar. It is located at an altitude of 12,500 feet (3,800 meters) above sea level and is snow-capped for most of the year. Sinthan Top is known for its beauty and wonderful tourist attractions. The place is fast growing as one of the top tourist destinations in Kashmir. Daksum – Located in the Green Forests of Jammu and Kashmir at Anantnag-Semthan-Kishtwar road, is a natural scenic spot. It is located at an altitude of 2,438 Meters above sea level. Daksum is a place where you can revel in solitude and be one with nature. Pine trees; green meadows, clear gurgling brooks, and fresh mountain air all promise to make your experience invigorating and long-lasting. Later drive back to Kokernag, and had dinner and an overnight stay at Kokernag hotel.
Day 11: Kokernag – Srinagar (240 Km) Travel time 6/7 hours
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Srinagar. En route visit Verinag- popular for its water spring and Mughal gardens. Also visit the garden of Achabal, ruins of Martand Sun Temple and Mattan Temple of Shiva. Later on, arrival at Srinagar, check-in to Houseboat/ Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Departure/Transfers to Srinagar Airport
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and we will assist you with transfers to the airport for your onward journey with Lifetime Memories to be Cherished.
