In a heroic display of valor and swift action, the Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps has successfully rescued over 500 stranded tourists amidst heavy snowfall in Nathu-La, East Sikkim.
Approximately 175 vehicles, carrying tourists, were rendered immobile due to the sudden and severe snowfall, posing a grave threat to their safety and well-being. However, responding to the emergency with unwavering determination, troops from Trishakti Corps braved sub-zero temperatures to reach the stranded individuals.
Providing prompt medical assistance, warm refreshments, and nourishing meals, the Indian Army ensured the well-being of the tourists despite the adverse weather conditions. Additionally, safe transportation arrangements were made to facilitate their journey to safety.
