Whether you’re in Kolkata or elsewhere in the state, the heat can be relentless even if it rains. While some escape to the hills or beaches, did you know you can enjoy the cool comfort of snow without leaving Kolkata?
That’s right! You can experience snow right in Kolkata at the Snow Park located on the sixth floor of Axis Mall in Newtown. To get there, take the metro to Sector V, then catch an auto-rickshaw or bus to Axis Mall.
Alternatively, you can take any bus heading towards Newtown and get off at the Biswa Bangla Gate stop, from where you can take an auto-rickshaw or bus to Axis Mall.
The Snow Park offers numerous snow activities, maintaining an indoor temperature of -6°C. There’s also a ride you can enjoy as many times as you like. Entry costs ₹500 per person, which allows you to stay in the park for one hour without any additional charges.
Inside the Snow Park, you’ll find great music and artificial snowfall. It’s a fantastic way to escape the heat for a day in Kolkata. However, children under 3 years old are not allowed entry.
The park is open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM. You’ll receive a locker upon entry, which costs ₹100, but this fee is refunded when you return the locker key.
Before entering, you’ll be provided with gloves, jackets, and boots. You must return these items when you leave. If you don’t bring your own socks, you can purchase a pair for ₹30 at the park.

- মাথাপিছু ৫০০ টাকা (১ ঘণ্টা সময়ের জন্য)।
- ৩ বছরের নিচে শিশুদের প্রবেশ নিষিদ্ধ।
